Me and my grandson

Me and my grandson (the Big Dawg)

You don’t make a photograph with just a camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved and what you believe.

I created this space in 2016, the year I transferred from being a multimedia specialist in the field of eLearning to becoming the senior university photographer in marketing & communication. I wanted a space I could put a collection of work I’ve done over the years to remind me where I’ve come from and push me to become better. …..Better at what? That’s a question I ask myself all the time.

Reflecting on what I’ve done and the positions I’ve held over the years, I like to think I am a visual story teller more than anything. In eLearning I created modules that I wanted to be engaging and memorable. I was always so opposed to the “reading the text” and clicking the next button courses that people try to pass off as eLearning.. Sure the “e” is there but there aint no learning going on!

The question for me always was what kind of story can I create, how can I create something that could draw someone in and they actually learn. If you take a look at my eLearning samples I hope you’ll agree.
